Welcome to Lexden Lodge Kindergarten

Our History

Established in 2005, Lexden Lodge Kindergarten rapidly became one of the leading private nursery schools in Essex, winning numerous awards and accolades.

Since then, we have built up a remarkable reputation in the childcare community and in the locality, verified by our Accreditation through Day Nurseries Association. We now welcome over 150 children into our kindergarten and are proud to have seen so many young faces develop to become smart and fully rounded individuals.

Our Location

Lexden Lodge Kindergarten is conveniently situated on Lexden Road, less than a mile from the town centre of Colchester, Essex.

Our central location provides easy access for parents who are either working in Colchester, or commuting out of town. We are easily accessible and have adequate parking for dropping-off or picking-up your child.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a recognised, high quality childcare facility that is welcoming and accessible to all families. We are committed to recruiting motivated and professional staff to help us provide care in a non-discriminatory environment.

Our Values

Our Values at Lexden Lodge Kindergarten will always be to remain a family-orientated business. We care for tomorrow, by endorsing learning through play today, and shall always offer a safe, nurturing, and inspirational environment for our children because we believe in the importance of getting beginnings right.

Our Setting

Lexden Lodge Kindergarten is situated in a beautiful three-storey Victorian building which has been converted specially to create an exclusive nursery for under-fives.

Each room is extensively equipped with stunning up-to-date nursery equipment, ensuring that each child is offered a wide range of stimulating experiences with toys and materials appropriate to their age.

The benefits of our modern renovation are spacious and bright rooms with the advantage of having a lift, fire alarm and stairs, and secure grounds.

Outdoor activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. The children have the opportunity, and are encouraged to take part in outdoor child-chosen and adult-led activities, as well as those provided in the indoor playrooms. Therefore our garden incorporates a variety of safe outdoor play areas, and play equipment for the various ages and abilities.

Of course, we advocate no smoking throughout the premises.
